Good Morning Shimon,

That is good to know! Thanks for the information.  Hopefully they can fix it quickly.  I am enjoying 6.3 and going back to 6.2 is something I want to do.

Dear Concern,

I downloaded that exe but when i try to install it showed that, " You don't have the privilege to perform the installation. Please login as administrator to install the product". I  click the right button on the exe but not found any "run as administrator " option. Also informing that, i am login as administrator in my operating system Windows 7.

What should i do now. Plz suggest. Tnx

Hi,

The one in charge of  purchase and support wasn't at wok today, so I don't know if we have a support.

Here are the files.

The description activity has to be at the top of the script. If it gets moved (accidently) and you reopen the script it looks like there are no activities. The activities are actually in the script and since the file is xml it can be edited manually to fix. We have tried to prevent moving this activity but have not figured out a way to do this.

Hi Jeff,

Using the 6.5  beta, I've had trouble cancelling a script, and the automation script still freezes if there is an empty SQL file in one of the nodes.

I'll continue using the 6.5  beta and report otherwise if I find the problems corrected.

Sincerely,

Shimon

Shimon,

Thanks for the feedback - the automation issue when there is an empty SQL file has not yet been addressed.

I will review with the team that the cancelling fix made this first beta drop.

Thanks,

Jeff

Shimon,

Can you send in your automation script and steps on how to recreate this - as we cannot yet create this in house.

You can either post those or email those to me at jeff.podlasek@

Thanks,

Jeff

RE: Pass IN/OUT Parameters to executable proc in Editor

Hello Paul,

I don't work for Quest/TOAD, but I know of a solution that should work for you.  It sucks you can't declare variables for Db2 z/OS.

Toad will allow you to blind variables at run time.

To do this first view the Toad Views panel (View --> Toad Views). Then click on the (x)= link

Then enter then name and value of the parameter or variable you want.

I hope this helps you out!

Pass IN/OUT Parameters to executable proc in Editor

Is it possible to pass parameters to a procedure in an open editor and execute from there instead of manually entering the parameters?

For example :

@IN_PARTY_ID, INTEGER99999

@IN_ACTIVITY_TYPE_ID, INTEGER, 5;

@IN_PARTY_ACTIVITY_NUMBER, INTEGER, 19313

@IN_SWITCH, CHARACTER, 'NNNNYNNN'

@IN_TABLESPACE, VARCHAR, 'TS_SPACE_01

@OUT_RETURN_CODE, INTEGER0

@OUT_RETURN_MESSAGE, VARCHAR'-'

CALL"PROC_99999"."DM_MY_PROC"(@IN_PARTY_ID, @IN_ACTIVITY_TYPE_ID, @IN_PARTY_ACTIVITY_NUMBER, @IN_PROC_LEVEL, @IN_SWITCH, @IN_TABLESPACE, @OUT_RETURN_CODE, @OUT_RETURN_MESSAGE);

COMMIT;

Thanks,

Paul

Hello anurag1212,

Here is workaround how to start the installation in Windows 7:

  • Click on Start button and in search field type "run".
  • In the Run window type "cmd"
  • Go to location of the MSI file
  • Type the name of the file with the extension to the command line window and press enter.

This will allow you to start the installation.

some of our other providers have an execute proc action. Here it prompts you for param values and builds script to execute. Seems to me that could be easily added.
